As you may know, YNPN of Greater Seattle’s mission is to support the professional development of the next generation of nonprofit leaders by providing opportunities for skill-building, information sharing, and networking. In an effort to stay true to our mission, we will be launching a number of events targeting professional development in the coming months.
The first of several new offerings I am thrilled to announce is the YNPN Greater Seattle Book Club! The Book Club will meet every other month to discuss books and share ideas and questions related to nonprofit management, social change, and other related topics.
Just like our networking events, anyone is welcome to join: job seekers, those new to or just interested in the nonprofit sector, or seasoned leaders! Our goal is to facilitate in-depth discussions at locations conducive to conversation, so while there won’t be a limit to the number of book club members, we will cap registration for each event at around 15 guests. We encourage everyone, even those who can’t attend the meeting, to read each book along with us! We will post major takeaways and meeting recaps here on our blog.
We will be discussing: Give and Take, by Adam Grant
When and where we'll meet: Wed, Nov 4th at 6:30-8:00pm University Zoka (2901 NE Blakeley Street Seattle, WA 98105)
At this point you don’t need to take any action to become a member of the Book Club, we just ask that you please RSVP for Book Club meetings via Eventbrite. If you RSVP for the Book Club meeting but find you can no longer make it, PLEASE email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so someone else can take your spot!
We’re excited to see you there!
